Dr. Sarah Chen has dedicated 14 years to the field of pediatric communication. Before co-founding Pinecrest, she served as a Senior Speech-Language Pathologist at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where she led multidisciplinary teams in diagnosing complex language disorders and implementing AAC solutions. She earned her Ph.D. from Northwestern University and completed her clinical fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital.
Sarah earned her Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University and completed her Clinical Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. She is certified as a clinical specialist in pediatric feeding and communicative automation.
Lead BCBA Specialist
James Wilson brings over 10 years of clinical experience to Pinecrest. He previously served as the Regional Clinical Director for a specialized behavioral firm in the Pacific Northwest, overseeing therapy programs for families across three states and fostering independence in children with diverse neurological profiles.
James earned his Master of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis from Vanderbilt University. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) dedicated to "Everyday Empowerment" through functional clinical progress.
